Sandra Bullock has long been a master of the “stealth arrival,” and her appearance at the 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards was no exception. On January 5, 2020, at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, the actress bypassed the traditional red carpet bustle, only to command the stage later that evening in a masterclass of tonal styling.

Embracing a bold, marigold-yellow palette, Bullock wore a custom moiré faille gown by Oscar de la Renta. The design featured a structured, strapless bodice and a voluminous skirt defined by an asymmetrical hem—a silhouette perfectly engineered to showcase her choice of footwear.

To complement the dress’s vibrant hue, she opted for metallic Jimmy Choo Tesca sandals, demonstrating that a high-low hemline is the ultimate way to keep the focus on a luxury shoe.

Sandra flaunted her showstopping gown on stage as she presented the final award of the night, Best Motion Picture – Drama, to 1917. The film’s director, co-writer, and producer, Sam Mendes, accepted the trophy on behalf of the cast and crew of the epic war movie.

After the ceremony, Sandra proceeded to the press room to pose for photos.

Sandra’s glam team amped up the glam factor. Hairstylist Lorenzo Martin styled her dark locks in tousled waves, parted in the middle and worn down around her face.

Sabrina Bedrani beautified the actress further with smoky eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner, pink blush, and a matching glossy pout.

The Bird Box actress completed the look with layers of Pomellato’s chunky gold chains and a matching bracelet, finishing on a refined red-carpet note in Jimmy Choo’s Tesca sandals—an Elizabeth Stewart–approved classic defined by its barely-there silhouette, signature asymmetrical strap, and sleek stiletto heel that subtly elongates the leg beneath a high-low hem.

Another celebrity of these heels is Lea Michele, who wore Jimmy Choo Tesca sandals with a long white coat in New York City.
