We admit that we found SJP’s look to be too much at first but grew to love the look given that it was worn to a fashion event.
The lovely details of the gown such as the Victorian-style buttons on the cuffs and the lengthening seams on the sheer long sleeves were what jumped out at us.

Then, when SJP turned around, we got an eyeful of that sexy sheer back. When we spotted the black velvet stripe going down the middle, SJP’s black velvet ponytail suddenly made sense.

For this couture look, SJP made sure to bring out the big guns in the shoe department. She whipped out her eponymous shoe line‘s most expensive style, the ‘Veronique’ pumps made of satin and encrusted in sparkling stones.

We haven’t confirmed yet if the sparklers are Swarovski crystals, which would justify the pumps’ whopping $895 price tag. Still, we never expected to see Louboutin prices from the SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker shoe label.
