Measuring 5ft 5 (165.1 cm), American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress Mya Marie Harrison is a little taller than the average American woman. She wears a shoe size 7 (US) and considers herself too short to be a model.
“It’s pretty natural. I know how to walk. I know how to walk from being on stage,” she told Singersroom in 2007 about modeling.

“So the runway is something I was too short for. I’m only 5’5, and usually, you have to be 5’10 and up to be considered a model. But modeling includes many things. You can be a hand model, a foot model, or it can be simply representing a product that you believe in.”

We always love a good awards ceremony. They offer the prime opportunity to glance at the best — and worst — in Hollywood fashion.
Take, for example, the 2016 BET Awards. While a lot of celebrities stunned on the event carpet, we got to peek at some disappointing displays as well — like Mya.
The musician wore an odd yellow pantsuit from Christian Siriano’s Spring 2014 RTW line.

The strapless yellow top came with a cape that did not do Mya’s fit physique any justice.

Additionally, the matching capri pants made Mya appear wider and shorter.
This piece reminded us of Selma Blair’s odd pant-dress hybrid at the CFDA Awards, also designed by Christian Siriano.

Mya accessorized with gold chokers, statement earrings, and a selection of large geometric rings that matched the award ceremony graphics.

She slicked her hair back and wore heavy eye makeup and a pastel pink manicure.

Luckily her shoes weren’t as disappointing as her attire.

She wore a pair of Aldo “Lyvie” sandals in beige. The ankle-wrap sandals feature knot details and four-inch heels. One month later, she also showed off her feet in vegan “Alexis” pumps from Lodovico Zordanazzo.

The “Lyvie” sandals are available in three colors on Amazon and Zappos.
