Stars gathered at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on Tuesday for the 2026 Apple TV Press Day.

While the red carpet may not have delivered the kind of playful, high-drama fashion moments we often see from Hollywood events, it offered a masterclass in polished dressing. The overall mood was serious and streamlined, with clean silhouettes, neutral palettes, and sharp tailoring taking center stage.

Shoe choices followed that same approach. Many opted for black shoes, including sleek pumps, minimalist sandals, and sharp boots. Still, a few standouts broke from the uniformity, with pops of pink heels and flashes of metallic adding just enough contrast to the rather muted dress code.

Jennifer Garner, Amy Adams, Jessica Biel, Anya Taylor-Joy, Kerry Washington, Olivia Munn, Tatiana Maslany, and Rita Wilson look polished in neutral-colored outfits with timeless shoes at the Los Angeles Apple TV press day at Barker HangarJennifer Garner, Amy Adams, Jessica Biel, Anya Taylor-Joy, Kerry Washington, Olivia Munn, Tatiana Maslany, and Rita Wilson look polished in neutral-colored outfits with timeless shoes at the Los Angeles Apple TV press day at Barker Hangar on February 3, 2026 (Credit: Dave Starbuck / Future Image / Cover Images)

These looks may not scream red carpet, but they’re absolutely worth a closer look. Who knows? You might even find inspiration for your next meeting, presentation, or power-dressing moment.

Jennifer Garner Grounds Modern Office Chic in Gianvito Rossi “Cara” Pumps

Jennifer Garner stepped out looking perfectly aligned with the event’s atmosphere as she celebrated season two of her mystery thriller, The Last Thing He Told Me. The outfit had a clear meeting-ready energy, but with details that added personality.

She wore the Gianvito Rossi “Cara” pumps in black patent lamb leather, adding a sharp finish to the look. The D’Orsay cut revealed just enough of her foot, while the pointed toe and slim ankle strap kept things sleek.

The strap crisscrossed neatly around her ankle and fastened with the brand’s signature buckle, featuring the G and R initials designed to resemble a delicate ribbon. Set on a 4.5-inch stiletto heel, the pumps gave her height without overpowering the rest of the outfit. You can get them for $1,144 at Farfetch.

Polished Textures: Leather, Silk, and Quiet Luxury Details

Garner paired them with a black Saint Laurent leather pencil skirt, priced at $5,200 on Mytheresa, featuring a high-rise waist that beautifully shaped her silhouette. The leather had a smooth, polished finish and skimmed her figure before ending just above the knee. A gold-tone Cassandre monogram at the back added a quiet touch of luxury to the look.

Her brown silk Saint Laurent blouse softened everything. Made from fluid crepe de chine, it draped easily and featured a lavallière tie that added a hint of retro charm. The pleated front and lightly structured shoulders gave it shape, and once tucked into the leather skirt, it kept the overall look clean, polished, and work-appropriate. You can get it for $2,700 at Mytheresa.

Garner kept her accessories minimal with just a couple of delicate gold rings. Her loose, tousled waves and natural makeup tied it all together, making the entire look feel approachable, polished, and very Jennifer.

Amy Adams Embraces Sculpted Minimalism in Manolo Blahnik “Chaos” Sandals

Amy Adams chose a more serious look for the event as she celebrated her upcoming psychological thriller series Cape Fear, premiering on June 5, 2026. The look appeared classic and understated, with subtle elements adding a soft, sultry edge.

She wore the Manolo Blahnik “Chaos” sandals in black patent leather, which always work thanks to their minimalist design.

The thin strap across the toes kept the design clean, while the slim ankle strap fastened with a squared silver-tone buckle added a modern touch. Set on a 4-inch stiletto heel, the sandals gave her extra height and elegance. They’re $745 at Nordstrom.

Khaite’s Sculpted Jersey Dress Sets a Serious, Modern Tone

The dress itself was by Khaite, specifically the “Minter” style, crafted from smooth jersey that hugged every inch of her figure. The deep V-neckline created a clean vertical line, balanced by long dolman sleeves that added volume through the arms.

A cinched waist subtly defined her shape before the skirt fell straight, ending just below the knees, giving the overall look a more business-forward feel. It’s currently on sale for $639 (from $1,340) at Farfetch.

Amy finished with the $19,000 Fernando Jorge Stream Lines Large Loop earrings in 18k gold. Their sculptural, fluid shape added shine and contrast against the black fabric. Keeping the focus on her statement jewelry, she pulled her hair back into a center-parted bun and kept her makeup understated, highlighting her natural beauty.

Jessica Biel Elevates Monochrome Brown with Classic Pointed Pumps

Jessica Biel stepped out in a full brown look at the Apple TV event for her upcoming action-adventure comedy Matchbox: The Movie, set for release in October. I was immediately drawn to how cohesive the palette looked without becoming flat!

Biel kept her footwear simple with classic chocolate brown pumps, featuring pointed toes and slim stiletto heels that added a sharp finish. Given the outfit’s already strong visual impact, the clean footwear choice made sense and helped everything else stand out.

Sheer Layers and Leather Proportions Add Dimension

She wore the “Waldon” leather pants from Simkhai, crafted from rich, smooth cocoa leather. They featured a classic five-pocket styling and perpendicular seam details that gave the design a modern edge.

While they were technically cut with a curved, tapered leg, on Biel, the length pooled slightly at the hem. I wish they were cropped slightly shorter so the shape and the shoes could really shine. Her Simkhai Waldon leather panel trousers are on sale for $1,273 (from $1,834) at Farfetch.

Jessica paired them with the “Feyre” top ($325 at Revolve), which added contrast through texture and transparency. Layered over a tank, its sheer, boxy silhouette stayed light against the heavier leather pants.

It had pleating at the chest that added dimension, while the flared short sleeves and gentle A-line hem kept the top from looking too stiff. What made the top more interesting was the high neckline that wrapped around her neck and tied into an oversized bow at the back. It gave the design a romantic finish and an unexpected focal point.

Jessica Biel skipped bold accessories and kept her beauty look simple, wearing her hair in loose, tousled waves with soft pink makeup.

Anya Taylor-Joy Sharpens All-Black Dressing with Zanotti Mules

Anya Taylor-Joy went fully black for the event, but the styling didn’t feel heavy. Instead, it was sleek and modern, with lighter elements that balanced the all-black palette.

She wore the Giuseppe Zanotti “Beverlee” mules in black patent-effect synthetic leather, adding a soft shine that complemented the matte and leather textures of her outfit. With a slim strap across the toes and a low-sitting ankle strap secured by a rectangular buckle, the design stayed simple and balanced.

The open-toe, open-back silhouette broke up the all-black palette and kept the look feeling light and modern. Finished with 4-inch stilettos, the mules added instant height and leg-lengthening lift while maintaining a clean, streamlined line.

Architectural Leather and Clean Lines Define the Silhouette

Anya paired the shoes with the Khaite “Gres” high-waisted black leather skirt ($4,800 at Farfetch) while promoting her upcoming Apple TV series Lucky, set to release in July. It sat high on her waist, skimmed her hips, and fell to her ankles, emphasizing her long, slender frame. A silver-tone two-way zipper ran asymmetrical down the side, left partially open from just above the knee to create a slit.

Up top, she wore a fitted black turtleneck, tucked in neatly for a smooth finish. The long sleeves and mock neck kept the top simple, which balanced the stronger lines and texture of the leather skirt.

Adding polish to her look, Anya wore white gold and diamond pieces from Tiffany & Co., which complemented the all-black ensemble. She wore the $5,650 Lock Earrings, inspired by a padlock from The Tiffany Archives that dates back to 1883.

On her hands and wrists, she layered a $3,300 Knot ring, inspired by an archival bow from 1889 and set with 0.05 carats of round brilliant diamonds; a $7,000 Tiffany T T1 ring with 0.24 carats of round brilliant diamonds; and a $23,500 Tiffany Knot bangle.

I also loved her hair styled with a deep side part, one side flowing down her chest, which perfectly complemented the sleek mood of the look.

Kerry Washington Leads in Paris Texas “Lidia” Boots and Power Leather

Kerry Washington stepped out at the Apple TV event in an all-black leather look. She’s set to star in the upcoming drama series Imperfect Women, and her outfit matched that strong, commanding presence.

Washington wore the Paris Texas “Lidia” knee-high boots in black leather, which added a sharp finish to the look. The shafts had a slight slouch that kept them from looking stiff, while the pointed toes and center-front seams added definition.

Set on pin-thin stiletto heels, the boots gave her extra height and a sleek line through the leg, which worked beautifully with the length of her skirt.

Layered Leather and Sharp Zips Build a Commanding Look

Kerry paired them with a two-piece black leather outfit from the Hermes Spring 2026 collection. She wore a textured leather dress with visible stitching, finished with a low square neckline and a center zipper.

The zip broke up the leather, creating a slit and adding a hint of edge. Underneath, she layered a knee-length leather skirt with a simpler design, featuring seam paneling that kept the look modern and sharp.

Her hair was styled in tight curls that framed her face, while her makeup stayed in warm brown tones with a two-toned lip. A few bold rings added just enough shine to pull the look together.

Olivia Munn Softens All-Black Style with Khaite Glove Pumps

Olivia Munn took a more relaxed approach to all-black attire at the Apple TV event for her upcoming dark comedy-crime drama series, Your Friends and Neighbors. I liked how the look was polished without relying on sharp tailoring or fitted silhouettes.

Munn wore a pair of black leather Khaite pumps with pointed toes and high heels. Classic, yes, but the soft, glove-like vamps gave them a modern twist. The tiny gold stitch at the vamp was a dead giveaway that they were from Khaite.

Relaxed Tailoring Balances Structure and Ease

Her two-piece black ensemble was simple and unfussy. Munn wore a wrap-style blazer with a loose, oversized fit. The collar, buttoned cuffs, and side vents gave the blazer some structure, but the overall silhouette stayed relaxed.

She paired it with cropped black pants that flared slightly below the knee, with front pleats adding subtle shape, while the shorter length kept the look casual and slightly unexpected.

Her accessories were minimal, with only a couple of rings. Finishing the look, Olivia styled her long hair in soft waves that fell down her chest, while her makeup stayed in soft pink tones.

Tatiana Maslany Breaks the Black Dress Code with Pink Versace “Aevitas” Pumps

Tatiana Maslany brought a pop of color to the carpet, and my eyes went straight to her shoes. She wore the Versace “Aevitas” pumps in pink satin, which instantly stood out among the sea of black footwear at the event.

Adding serious height, the chunky platform immediately gave the shoes a bold, sculptural look, with thick square toes that felt modern and unapologetic. They also featured slanted block heels that added height and provided a solid base.

What really made them even more eye-catching was the slim ankle strap adorned with crystals and finished with Versace’s signature charms. Those small details caught the light as she moved, adding a touch of glamour to the bold silhouette.

The sides were left open, which helped distribute the platform’s weight and kept the shoes from looking too heavy. In addition, the pink satin itself was captivating, with a soft sheen that reflected light beautifully. These Versace pumps are on sale for $822 (from $1,175) at Mytheresa.

Romantic Lace Balances the Bold Platform Heels

Tatiana paired the statement shoes with the $525 Nadine Merabi “Macie” black mini dress. Crafted from the Manchester-based label’s signature black lace fabrication, the dress featured a corset-style bodice with structured boning that shaped the silhouette.

It also featured a shrug-like long-sleeved layer made of floral lace with eyelash lace trim, finished with a delicate bow tie and a daring cut-out at the décolletage. The tulip-style skirt kept the length youthful, while the sweetheart cups added a flirty touch.

Maslany, who is set to star in the dark comedy series Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, finished the look with a few rings and a bracelet for a touch of sparkle.

Rita Wilson Channels Rock Chic in Square-Toe Boots and Versace

Rita Wilson, who stars in The Last Thing He Told Me alongside Jennifer Garner, leaned fully into her signature rock-inspired style.

She wore black suede knee-highs that added an edgy note to her ensemble, featuring squared toes and wide heels that gave the boots a strong, architectural feel.

Western Embellishments Add Edge to Tailored Versace

Up top, she wore a black embellished wool set from Versace’s Fall 2025 collection. The miniskirt was cut from virgin wool crepe and featured Western-style embellishments on the front pockets, which complemented the boots. This skirt is currently on sale for $700 (from $1,750) at Mytheresa.

Paired with it was a cropped, matching jacket with padded shoulders, which added structure to the silhouette. The Western-style pockets were adorned with faceted studs, which were echoed at the collar for a cohesive finish.

Signature Medusa buttons ran down the front, adding a recognizable Versace touch. You can purchase it for $1,476 (a $1,214 discount from $3,690) at Net-a-Porter.
