Supermodel Winnie Harlow once again returned to the MET Gala with Iris van Herpen, this time channeling her inner ballerina.
When we saw Winnie step onto the red carpet, we thought her outfit would be right at home at the next production of ‘Swan Lake.’

Her abstract white mini dress featured a large white organza flower-shaped accent on the front and back, designed with a black root motif and clear 3D spine-like accents.
The Jamaican-Canadian model elevated her look with a stunning headpiece that gave the illusion of an ethereal crown.
It mimicked the 3D accents on her dress and featured white flame-like details and thin gold rods that connect the pieces together.

The kinetic crown, which kind of reminds us of the Venus flytrap plant, was designed by Seattle-based artist Casey Curran. Following the Met Gala, he shared a clip of his intricate creation with his Instagram followers.

While the headpiece screamed ‘gilded glamour,’ the model chose to balance out her voluminous dress with simple white slingback stilettos with a chic bow by Aquazzura.

Available in many colors at Farfetch, the “Bow Tie” leather pumps from the popular women’s shoe brand feature sexy side cutouts, a feminine bow at the back, and 4-inch thin stiletto heels.

Styled by Jason Rembert, the former America’s Next Top Model contestant further accessorized her exquisite look with jewelry by Wempe NYC.
Hairstylist Davontae Washington took inspiration from a “high fashion ballerina” to create Winnie’s sleek twisted hair bun.
Meanwhile, makeup artist Adam Burrell defined her eyes with voluminous eyelashes, smokey bronze eyeshadow, rose gold highlighter, and nude lipstick.
Her futuristic ballerina look was one of the most talked-about at the MET Gala, showing that a headpiece could be the secret to ending up on the best-dressed list.
