We worked and had exhibitions together for a few years when she sent photographs of my work to a friend of hers in Warsaw. I had no idea that she had done this, but an invitation came for me to exhibit in 1981 (a very interesting time in Poland). I took the invitation as an adventure, but when I arrived, all of my father’s and grandparent’s ways came back to me. I felt a genuine connection. For the first time, I thought of myself as Polish – I still do. I’ve returned to Poland many times,” her artist father, John Ratajkowski, told The First News.

“I feel like it’s always about how this girl stays thin, or what one girl is doing to another, and it shouldn’t be that way.” – Emily Ratajkowski

“For me personally, I cannot spend a certain amount of money on anything but shoes, a coat, a purse, and that’s it. I could never spend more than $1K on a sweater. I’m only going to wear it twice. But you go online, and you see incredibly expensive sweaters selling out constantly.” – Emily Ratajkowski

“If you’re a sexy actress, it’s hard to get serious roles. You get offered the same thing they’ve seen you in. People are like sheep, and they’re like, ‘Oh, that’s what she does well.'” – Emily Ratajkowski

“My hair is very straight – people always think that I’ve ironed it when I get to set.” – Emily Ratajkowski

“I want to establish myself as someone who can act and doesn’t have to rely on my figure or modelling background.” – Emily Ratajkowski

“A woman can be seeking attention and also make a statement. They don’t need to be mutually exclusive.” – Emily Ratajkowski

“I think ‘Everything Ravaged, Everything Burned’ might be a perfect book.” – Emily Ratajkowski

We’re all for women liberating themselves and feeling confident — don’t get us wrong — but we’re getting sick of those suggestive selfies on Instagram.

Emily Ratajkowski has always been incredibly comfortable with taking her clothes off for the camera, so it was refreshing to see her turn up at the 33rd annual Breeder’s Cup World Championship looking incredibly modest.

Emily ditched her usual low necklines and strategic cutouts for a white high-neck mini dress. While the dress still hugged her body pretty snugly, the modesty of her pristine white outfit did wonders for her.

Ironically, Emily paired her dress with Stuart Weitzman’s “Nudist” sandals.

Overall, we’re digging this less (exposed) is more look for Emily. She proves that you can definitely look sexy without shedding layers of clothing and that a little mystery can go a very long way.
