Emma Stone embodied her signature quirky elegance as she graced the red carpet at the 82nd Venice Film Festival for the premiere and photocall of her new movie, “Bugonia.” As expected from the Louis Vuitton ambassador, she turned to the fashion house for both appearance, and unsurprisingly, nailed each look.

What makes Emma stand out on the red carpet is her ability to mix timeless elegance with a playful edge. She always adds her unique touch, whether she chooses a more traditional look or leans toward whimsical.

For this year’s Venice Film Festival, she embodied her typical quirky elegance, serving looks that were neither over-the-top nor too conventional, yet still sophisticated, modern, and uniquely Emma. Rather than gowns with huge volume, sultry cuts, or bold embellishments, Emma’s Louis Vuitton outfits featured clean lines and subtle details.

Emma’s latest film, Bugonia, is just as intriguing as her fashion. Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, it marks their fourth collaboration, following The Favourite (2018), Poor Things (2023), and Kinds of Kindness (2024).

Emma plays Michelle Fuller in the film, a high-powered CEO of a major pharmaceutical company who becomes the target of two conspiracy-obsessed men, Teddy (Jesse Plemons) and Don (Aidan Delbin). They kidnap Fuller, convinced that she’s an alien planning to destroy the Earth.

Bugonia is set to hit US theaters on October 24.

Emma’s Venice outfits may not have screamed alien or CEO, but they captured what Emma does best, creating red-carpet looks that feel both effortless and unforgettable.

Let’s take a closer look at what she wore.

Whimsical Elegance: Emma Stone’s Custom Sequin Louis Vuitton Gown & Nude Sandals

At the Bugonia premiere, Emma Stone captivated the Venice Film Festival red carpet in a custom Louis Vuitton gown that perfectly reflected her signature blend of elegance and whimsy. Crafted from ivory tulle, the exquisite creation was delicately adorned with sequins and glittering silver beading that caught the light with every step.

Sequins were scattered all over the surface like glimmering stardust, while intricate silver beadwork was arranged in swirling patterns that gave the gown texture and a sense of movement. The slim shoulder straps, adorned with sequins and beads, not only provided support but also enhanced the design’s sparkle and elegance.

What truly set the gown apart was its unique silhouette. The form-fitting bodice flattered Emma’s slender frame, with a square neckline that accentuated her neck and shoulders. Louis Vuitton gave the gown a playful twist with a balloon-style skirt that draped from her waist and curved above the knees before cascading into a straight, floor-sweeping underskirt. This sculptural detail added a fresh, modern, and theatrical flair, turning what could have been a classic sequined dress into a red-carpet statement.

Minimalist Glow: Fresh Beauty, Diamond Ring & LV Sparkle Slim Trunk Bag

Adding to the transformation, Emma, who appears bald in the film, showed her grown-out pixie, styled in side-parted waves. Her beauty look stayed true to her love of understated elegance. Her natural glow was accentuated by the fresh, minimal makeup, which featured subtle eyeliner, a sweep of soft pink blush, and a rosy pink lip.

Emma kept the rest of her look minimal, allowing her gown to remain the star of the evening. She wore only a Louis Vuitton High Jewelry diamond ring and, at one point, carried the $6,650 Louis Vuitton Slim Trunk Bag from the Exceptionals LV Sparkle collection. It was covered with 7,500 hand-cut and hand-stitched crystals on smooth calfskin, making it the perfect purse for the glamorous event.

Though her shoes were hidden beneath the gown, Emma completed the look with custom Louis Vuitton nude satin sandals featuring asymmetrical straps, slingback detail, and high heels for a subtle lift.

Modern Minimalism: Black Halter Dress, Lace Skirt & Manolo Blahnik Sandals

Emma Stone delivered a masterclass in understated elegance with just the right amount of edge at the Bugonia photocall during the 2025 Venice International Film Festival.

The Poor Things star wore another custom Louis Vuitton creation — a black halter dress that struck the perfect balance between effortless and chic. Reminiscent of sleek swimwear, the fitted bodice, with its simple scooped neckline and halter straps, framed her collarbone and shoulders. The design added a clean, minimalist edge while maintaining a relaxed, modern aesthetic.

The real statement came from Emma’s skirt, which featured a sheer, asymmetrical lace layer that draped softly over her legs and ended in an uneven hemline, giving the look a sense of movement. It actually looked like a chic wrap you tie around your waist after a swim, but elevated into something far more refined and red-carpet ready. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but Emma’s poise and elegance transformed the piece, making the whole outfit feel fresh, airy, and effortlessly polished.

Effortless Glamour: Elsa Peretti Bangle, LV Ear Cuff & Manolo Blahnik “Leva”

Emma kept her beauty look natural and effortless. Her grown-out pixie was styled in soft, side-swept waves that effortlessly framed her features. She wore minimal makeup, with softly defined eyes and a hint of peach color on her cheeks and lips, allowing her natural glow to shine through.

Her accessories mirrored the understated elegance of her outfit. She chose the modern, sculptural $1,275 Elsa Peretti Snake silver bangle, which coiled around her arm, adding a hint of quiet drama. She also wore the Louis Vuitton Tumbler ear cuff, expertly crafted in white gold and set with 12 diamonds totaling 0.34 carats, finished with the house’s signature Monogram flower. Though it was barely noticeable from her ear, it added a subtle touch of contemporary edge to the look.

Emma completed her black ensemble with black Manolo Blahnik “Leva” sandals, perfectly complementing the lightness of her dress. The slim nappa leather straps criss-crossed over Emma’s toes and tied elegantly around her ankle, echoing the delicate lace of her dress’s skirt. The open toes kept the look airy, while the ankle ties added a feminine, slightly flirty touch.

These $935 Manolo Blahnik sandals are finished with sleek stiletto heels, giving Emma Stone’s 5’6” height a boost.
