In June 2017, a slew of A-list celebrities and prominent names in the fashion industry gathered at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.
Nicole Kidman was a vision of refined elegance, while Gigi Hadid exuded quiet sophistication. Previous CFDA winners Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen also brought their signature minimalist style in monochromatic ensembles from The Row.
Here are some of the most memorable looks from this year’s CFDA Fashion Awards.
1. Diane Kruger Stuns in Monse with Giuseppe Zanotti’s Glamorous ‘Harmony’ Sandals
Fresh from her Best Actress win at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, Diane made a show-stopping entrance in a blue velvet dress from Monse.

This Fall 2017 number featured a strapless neckline, contrasting gold sequin embellishments, a thigh-high slit, and a floor-length skirt.

The Troy actress styled her gown with a side-swept wavy updo, soft pink lips, and mismatched earrings from Delfina Delettrez and Giuseppe Zanotti heels.

The 40-year-old actress finished her look with the popular “Harmony” sandals from Giuseppe Zanotti. This blush velvet version features high heels, leather soles, and rear zip closures.
Diane Kruger likely understands that blush or skin-colored shoes, such as her nude Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Harmony’ sandals, create the illusion of longer legs and a taller frame because they blend seamlessly with the skin tone. This visual trick works by extending the line of the leg uninterrupted, particularly when paired with a high slit or floor-length gown like her royal blue velvet dress.

2. Olivia Munn Brings a Hawaiian Vibe With Tanya Taylor and Louboutin’s ‘Louloudance’ Heels
The 36-year-old actress and model enlivened the blue carpet in a flirty floral dress with a charming Hawaiian vibe.

The “Aliyah” dress from Tanya Taylor featured a sleeveless design, cut-out sides, and ruffle details.

Olivia completed her look with a topknot and a bold orange lip. She toted an oxblood Tyler Ellis clutch and showed off her feet in Christian Louboutin ‘Louloudance’ platform heels.

Her “Louloudance” platform sandals feature suede-covered high heels, buckle-fastening ankle straps, and gold-tone leather piping. These shoes also have nude leather lining and the luxury label’s signature red leather soles.

3. Lily Aldridge Wows in Jason Wu and Gianvito Rossi’s Timeless ‘Portofino’ Sandals
The Victoria’s Secret Angel slithered on the blue carpet in a sultry nude dress from Jason Wu, which featured delicate shoulder straps, a low neckline, a sexy low back, and a floor-length hem.

Lily styled it with sleek center-parted tresses tucked behind her ears to show off her Ana Khouri jewels. She finished off her look with the popular “Portofino” sandals from Gianvito Rossi.

Crafted in Italy, her iconic “Portofino” sandals feature gorgeous suede uppers, ankle straps with circular buckle closures, and leather soles.

4. Kate Bosworth Shines in Brock Collection Paired with Aquazzura’s Luxe ‘Casanova’ Heels
The Remember the Titans actress exuded polished elegance in the Brock Collection “Delilah” floral number.

This lemon-hued midi dress featured a sleeveless design, floral embroidery, and beaded embellishments.

Kate styled it with metallic accessories, including a gold Edie Parker clutch, Irene Neuwirth jewelry, and gold metallic Aquazzura heels.

Kate’s metallic gold leather Casanova sandals from Aquazzura feature a V-shaped silhouette, sleek ankle straps, and the label’s signature pineapple plaque on the soles.

5. Priyanka Chopra Glitters in Michael Kors With ‘Smith’ Python Platform Sandals
Priyanka sparkled in a custom black herringbone dress from Michael Kors Collection, which featured a plunging neckline, long sleeves, sequin embellishments, and a wide belt that highlighted her tiny waist.

The Quantico actress styled it with a side-swept updo and black python “Smith” platform heels from Michael Kors Collection’s Spring 2017 line.

These shoes feature tri-toe straps, peep toes, leather soles, stacked block heels, and platforms.

6. Imaan Hammam Makes a Bold Statement in Adam Selman and Striking Red Heels
The Vogue Arabia April cover girl made a bold entrance in a denim ensemble from Adam Selman’s Fall 2017 collection, which featured embroidered red roses and a navy tulle train for a dramatic flourish.

She completed her look with a topknot, a Christian Louboutin clutch, and red leather sandals.

7. Joan Smalls Radiates Glam in Michael Kors and Metallic Python Sandals
Latina model Joan Smalls looked every bit like a bronze goddess in head-to-toe Michael Kors at this year’s CFDA Fashion Awards.

Joan wore a black one-shoulder dress with flirty cut-out details and a thigh-high slit.

She capped off her look with loose disco-glam curls and metallic gold accessories, which include her python sandals with wraparound ankle straps.

8. Karlie Kloss Channels Cool-Girl Chic in Diane von Furstenberg With Edgy Black Boots
The 24-year-old model brought a cool-girl edge in her Diane von Furstenberg ensemble at the prestigious fashion event.

Karlie wore a Resort 2018 black bodysuit with long sleeves and a V-shaped neckline, pairing it with a black leather pencil skirt from the designer’s Fall 2017 collection.

The Victoria’s Secret Angel completed her ensemble with Lynn Ban jewelry, a Judith Leiber clutch, and black pointy-toe boots from Diane von Furstenberg.
