Several members of Alec Baldwin’s family have spoken out to support the actor after he accidentally shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his upcoming Western film, Rust, on Thursday.
Among those who have commented about the tragic incident is his niece, Hailey Bieber, the youngest daughter of his brother Stephen Baldwin.
In her Instagram story posted on Friday, Hailey said she was “absolutely heartbroken” over Halyna’s death. “Sending all my love to the family of Halyna Hutchins. This is a truly unimaginable and devastating tragedy,” she wrote.
“My thoughts are also with Joel Souza as he recovers. I am absolutely heartbroken for everyone involved.”

Her dad, Stephen, requested prayers through his Instagram post. “Asking for prayers tonight friends not much can be said other than please pray for all involved in the tragic in the wake of this tragic accident thank you 🙏🏻,” the actor wrote, captioning the image with a purple cross emoji and the hashtag #Psalm91, referencing the 91st psalm of the Book of Psalms.
Perhaps to distract herself from the tragedy, the 24-year-old model attended a Lakers game with her husband Justin Bieber on Friday night.
The couple was pictured leaving Staples Center in their signature street-chic ensembles, with Justin in a black down jacket with a white tee, a pair of baggy jeans, and trainers.
Adding a splash of color to the look, the Stay hitmaker hid his hair underneath a pink beanie.

She teamed the $65 bold top with baggy black leather pants from Magda Butrym’s Spring 2022 collection and tied the look together with Nike Jordan 1 Retro High in Lucky Green colorway.
