Did Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner just dethrone Vanessa Hudgens as the queen of Coachella?
Boho-chic Vanessa has long reigned as the annual music festival’s style queen, but Kendall and Kylie Jenner have stolen the public’s attention this year.
Let’s take a look at some of the outfits.
Both Vanessa and Kendall sported braids — while Vanessa sported multiple messy mermaid braids dip-dyed in fuchsia, Kendall wore two braids down and loose.

In addition to her dip-dyed braids, Vanessa also sported a stick-on bindi.
While Kendall unwound her braids for the second day of the music fest, she sported a bindi as well.

Perhaps the thing that got people talking the most was Kendall’s statement nose ring (and chain) that she sported to the festival.

Vanessa was criticized for appropriating Native American culture by wearing a full feather headdress as a fashion statement.
However, Kylie was lauded for her creative use of feathers as shoulder accessories.

Of course, Vanessa and the Jenner sisters weren’t the only celebrities to make a Coachella appearance.

It looks like Selena Gomez came to play with the Jenner sisters during the event.

Kylie and Kendall were also spotted hanging out with Jaden Smith and Moises Arias.

At the end of the festival, it was apparent that regardless of the competition, each fashionista stayed true to her style.
Vanessa’s style was sometimes all over the place, and she often looked like she was lost in her own world.
Kendall stayed simple and cohesive in her cropped peasant tops and printed bell bottoms, and Kylie even stayed true to her biker-inspired wild-child style.

Do you think we have new celebrity Coachella queens? What we know for sure is that we prefer Kendall’s and Kylie’s comfy boots and sneakers as festival footwear over Vanessa’s coin-embellished booties and ’90s-inspired flatforms.

What do you think? Kendall and Kylie have received tons of media attention this year because they walked the Marc Jacobs runway and started their own Kendall & Kylie for Madden Girl shoe line.
Maybe the media would have focused on Kendall and Kylie regardless of Vanessa’s presence.
