The then-32-year-old American singer, songwriter, and actress opted for a business casual look in a black suit from Salvatore Ferragamo, featuring cropped pants and a figure-skimming jacket. She added a feminine touch with a peek-a-boo bra and carried a Lee Savage metallic clutch.

Nicholas Matthew Schneidau Kirkwood, born in July 1980 in Münster, Germany, is a British footwear designer renowned for his innovative, architectural shoe designs. He founded his eponymous luxury brand in 2005, partnering with Christopher Suarez, and focused on sculptural heels and unconventional materials, including stingray, python, and laser-cut leather.

A fine art graduate from Central Saint Martins and trained shoemaker from Cordwainers College, Kirkwood worked for five years at milliner Philip Treacy’s London shop before launching his brand. His debut collection, released in 2005, earned critical acclaim, including the Condé Nast Footwear Emerging Talent Award.

In 2013, LVMH acquired a majority stake in his company, forming a long-term partnership. Kirkwood also served as creative director for Pollini from 2010 to 2014.

In 2023, after nearly two decades of pushing the boundaries of footwear design, Kirkwood announced the closure of his shoe line to focus on sustainable and environmentally friendly fashion practices. He currently resides in Bethnal Green, London.
