After six seasons of fabulous fashion, romance, and drama, the CW’s hit show Gossip Girl has come to an end. As Blair Waldorf once declared, ‘Fashion is the most powerful art there is. It’s movement, design, and architecture all in one. It shows the world who we are and who we’d like to be.’ No show embodied that sentiment better than Gossip Girl, where every character’s wardrobe—especially their jaw-dropping shoe choices—told a story of power, status, and style, one stiletto at a time.
While we’re still reeling from shock after that ending — did you successfully guess who the “Gossip Girl” was? — we’re also mourning the end of the show’s wardrobe. The revelation that Dan Humphrey was the true identity behind Gossip Girl left fans in a state of disbelief.
Given that every character was part of New York City’s Upper East Side elite, we spent six seasons treated to gorgeous designer outfits, baubles, bags, and — of course — shoes.
Not only did lead characters Serena van der Woodsen (portrayed by Blake Lively) and Blair Waldorf (played by Leighton Meester) give us a sartorial display to remember, but so did the show’s various side characters.
While we’re privately crying our eyes out, we want to publicly share some of our favorite pairs of shoes that graced the screen during the sixth and final season of “Gossip Girl.”
1. Blake Lively’s Bold Teal Moment: Christian Louboutin ‘Bollywoody’ Pumps in Gossip Girl
Blake Lively’s character Serena van der Woodsen rocked these incredible aqua-hued Christian Louboutin “Bollywoody” pumps during a scene filmed in New York City.

The all-orange look contrasted heavily with these bright teal-colored platform shoes, which featured peep toes, intricate Bollywood-like beaded patterns, and the trademarked bright red Christian Louboutin soles.

2. Leighton Meester’s Blair Waldorf Elegance: Rupert Sanderson ‘Gabor’ Pumps
Shoe designer Rupert Sanderson was quite understandably excited to see Leighton Meester wear one of his styles for a taping of “Gossip Girl” in New York City.
As he tweeted: “Gorgeous Leighton Meester wears my ‘Gabor’ platforms on the set of Gossip Girl yesterday”. The American actress and singer accessorized with an embroidered Valentino ‘Rockstud’ bag.

Leighton channeled her character Blair perfectly in a cap-sleeved fit-and-flare patterned dress with a structured crystal-embellished knit coat and a floral handbag.
Her fuchsia-hued platform “Gabor” pumps from Rupert Sanderson were the perfect addition to her character’s grandma-chic outfit.

3. Serena’s Snakeskin Stunner: Blake Lively in Pour La Victoire ‘Zimmer’ Pumps

Blake wore a beaded tank top tucked into a scallop-edged Haute Hippie skirt for a casual Serena ensemble.

She styled this look in two ways — with espadrille flats (presumably worn for comfort between shooting scenes) and a pair of dramatic yellow snakeskin-print Pour La Victoire “Zimmer” pumps.

4. Michelle Trachtenberg’s Edgy Take: Mystery Yellow Slingback Pumps on Gossip Girl
Here’s another fun pair of bright yellow-patterned pumps!
Michelle Trachtenberg’s character, Georgina Sparks, styled a pair of unidentified yellow platform pumps with neutrals during a “Gossip Girl” scene.

Michelle styled the pumps with patterned leggings, an all-over sequined tank top, and some dramatic jewelry, including a spiked gold necklace and dangling earrings.

She filmed her scene with fellow “Gossip Girl” actor Penn Badgley, who wore classic neutral-colored loafers.

5. Christian Dior Chains & Cobalt Dreams: Blake Lively’s Eye-Catching Sandals
Here’s another Serena van der Woodsen outfit.
Blake Lively’s character filmed a scene with co-star Chace Crawford — who plays Nate Archibald — in a vibrant blue dress styled with eye-catching coral pumps.

Blake’s character styled the plunging cobalt dress with an animal-print handbag, statement earrings, and a simple ponytail.

These cage sandals feature chain accents along the front straps and silver metal details on the heels.

6. Leighton Meester’s Luxe Finale: Brian Atwood ‘Marilyn’ Pumps in Gossip Girl
And, finally, our last pair of stunning shoes from the final season of “Gossip Girl:” a pair of Brian Atwood pumps worn by Leighton Meester as Blair.
The show’s wardrobe department styled these “Marilyn” pumps with a dramatic knee-length maroon dress.
