Since its 2018 premiere on the Paramount Network, the Western melodrama “Yellowstone” has amassed a significant fan base, making it one of the most-watched shows in the United States.

The success of the series is primarily attributed to its realistic depiction of life on a ranch. A prequel series starring Isabel May, titled 1883, premiered on December 19, 2021, on Paramount+.

It’s easy to see why the show is so popular: The Duttons, their friends, and their numerous opponents are played by a fantastic array of stars. Given director Taylor Sheridan’s vast history in ranching, the cowboys of “Yellowstone” are just as rough and hardy as their real-life counterparts.

If you’ve ever wondered about the cowboys who played Montana’s most deadly fictional family, the Duttons, or what they look like when they’re not wearing cowboy hats and riding in saddles, we’ve got you covered.

We dug into the situation, and here is what we found about their height and some of the things you should know about the actors in Yellowstone.

1. Kevin Costner (John Dutton) – 6ft 1 (185.4 cm)

On “Yellowstone,” the seasoned Western actor plays the leading role and takes on the part of John Dutton, the brutal and commanding ruler of the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch.

Despite his dominance on the ranch, the 6’1″ (185.4 cm) tall actor has been a box office draw for decades thanks to his roles in films like “Field of Dreams,” “Dances with Wolves,” and “The Bodyguard.”

”Maybe I`m 6-feet and I`m white and I`m a leading man and have all the perks that go with that,” he said, ”and maybe it doesn`t make sense that that kind of package really worries about what he does. But I do,” Costner said about his height in an interview with Chicago Tribune.

The Oscar-winning actor, director, and producer reportedly makes $1.3 million for every episode of Yellowstone. In addition to his remuneration for playing the patriarch of the fictional Dutton family, that sum also accounts for the fees he earns as the show’s executive producer.

Kevin Costner is a real-life father and grandfather, so he knows something about being a family man.

The 67-year-old actor has been married twice. In 1975, he tied the knot with Cindy Silva and had three kids: two girls named Annie and Lily and a boy named Joe. They split up in 1994 after being married for 16 years, and Kevin had a brief relationship with Bridget Rooney, with whom he had a son named Liam in 1996.

Kevin’s second wife, Christine Baumgartner, is a model and bag designer. They wed in 2004 and had two sons, Cayden and Hayes, and a daughter named Grace.

2. Kelly Reilly (Beth Dutton) – 5ft 6 (168 cm)

Beth, played by Kelly Reilly (5′ 6″ or 1.68 m tall), is the feisty daughter of John Dutton. She is a staunch protector of the property and is every bit as vicious as her father, but she is a favorite among fans since she provides a source of bleak humor.

Despite what you may have gathered from Beth’s scathing wit, the 45-year-old actress is English. The Olivier Award winner has also been featured in movies including “True Detective” and “Eden Lake,” and you may have seen her in the “Sherlock Holmes” films.

Taylor Sheridan cast Kelly Reilly as Beth Dutton after seeing her audition tape. Meanwhile, the British actress has stated that Beth’s character was the most challenging role she has ever played on screen. Kelly reportedly earns $200,000 per episode, making her one of the highest-paid actors in the show.

Financier Kyle Baugher is Kelly Reilly’s husband. The couple tied the knot back in 2012. From 2007 through 2009, she was engaged to actor Jonah Lotan. Since Kelly prefers to keep her private life out of the spotlight, it seems logical that she tied the knot with someone outside the entertainment industry.

3. Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler) – 6ft ½ in (184.2 cm)

Rip Wheeler has gone from being the most useful of ranch hands to being every fan’s official “Yellowstone” boyfriend, thanks to Cole Hauser’s performance.

His ordinarily light hair and beard are also darkened by dye for the role. The fact that Cole Hauser is a natural redhead explains why his beard can occasionally take on an unnatural hue.

The 47-year-old actor is a distant relative of the Warner Brothers studio’s founders and the son of action/adventure actor Wings Hauser. His most notable roles have been in “ER,” “Good Will Hunting,” and “2 Fast 2 Furious”.

Although “Yellowstone” viewers adore Rip and Beth Dutton’s on-screen chemistry, their relationship is strictly for dramatic effect.

The actor, who stands at a towering 6ft ½ in (184.2 cm), has been married to his wife, Cynthia Daniel, a professional photographer and former actress, for 15 years. The two were married in 2006 with three children: Ryland, 18; Colt, 14; and Steely Rose, 9.

4. Luke Timothy Grimes (Kayce Dutton) – 5ft 11 ¼ (181 cm)

The youngest of John Dutton’s sons, Kayce Dutton serves several responsibilities on and off the ranch. He’s a veteran who keeps to himself but has a fierce temper that causes him difficulties.

Actor Luke Grimes, who plays him in “Yellowstone,” is 5 feet 11 ¼ inches (181 cm) tall and grew his hair long for the role. Before Luke joined the “Yellowstone” cast, he played drums for the alt-country band Mitchells Folly.

This native of Ohio made his acting debut in the 2006 film “All the Boys Love Mandy Lane.” His star rose after his roles as Marc Lee in “American Sniper,” Elliot Grey in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” series, and the lead in “The Magnificent Seven” (2016). On the TV show “Brothers and Sisters,” Dave Annable (Lee Dutton) and Luke Grimes portrayed half brothers.

In November 2018, Luke and Brazilian model Bianca Rodrigues Grimes finally tied the knot. He and his wife make their home in Montana when he’s not filming in the area.

5. Kelsey Asbille (Monica Dutton) – 5ft 6 ¼ (168.3 cm)

Monica Dutton is Kayce’s wife of Native American descent. She has mixed emotions about her husband’s family and the ranch.

Kelly Asbille, who stands at 5 feet and 6 ¼ inches (168.3 cm), first gained attention as Gigi on “One Tree Hill” from 2005 to 2009.

Formerly known as Mikayla Makoola on “Pair of Kings,” Rebecca on “Gaslight,” and Swanee Capps on “Fargo,” the Columbia University alum has since portrayed several other roles.

Both Kelsey Asbille (Monica Dutton) and Ian Bohen (Ryan) have appeared in past seasons of “Teen Wolf” (2011).

While in “Yellowstone,” her claims of Indigenous origin were questioned, adding fuel to the fire of controversy she had already stirred.

Since 2012, the actress has been dating British actor William Moseley, who played Peter in “The Chronicles of Narnia.”

In 2018, the actress revealed to Marie Claire that William sent her a painting of the full moon rising over Half Dome in Yosemite for her birthday.

The 69-year-old actor keeps his personal life under wraps. His romantic life was seldom a topic of conversation, and Gil has not come out as dating anyone at this time. Speculation among his fans suggests he may be single.

9. Denim Richards (Colby Mayfield) – 5 feet 10 inches (177 cm)

Denim Richards, 34 years old and 5 feet 10 inches tall (177 cm), was born in Orange County on August 10, 1988. Although he began his career in “Yellowstone” as an actor, he also trained as a singer and horseback rider as a young man.
