In June 2016, Sophie Turner looked chic as she stepped out for a Game Of Thrones fan event at the Palafox cinema in Madrid.
The English actress was 15 years old when she debuted as Sansa Stark in the first episode of “Game of Thrones,” which aired on April 17, 2011.
However, she was just 14 when she began filming the first season in July 2010, primarily in Belfast, Northern Ireland, with additional filming in Malta. Sophie Turner turned 15 on February 21, 2011.

When the last episode of the series was aired on May 19, 2019, she was 23 years old, marking the end of her eight-year run on the show.
Coping with Trauma from Violent Scenes
Her character endured much violence throughout the series and transformed from a young girl to the icy Queen of the North.
In a May 2022 interview with The Cut, Turner shared how she coped with the heavy content on the show, saying that she expects to have some trauma “down the road.”
Despite filming violent scenes at a young age, she coped by finding moments of fun between takes to shield herself from potential trauma.
“I’m sure I’ll exhibit some symptoms of trauma down the road,” said Turner about the controversial sex scene she acted out at age 19.

“At that age, I don’t think I could comprehend a lot of the scene matter. And the first few years, I had my mom with me because she was chaperoning me, so she would be very helpful and give me snacks.”
Sophie Turner’s stand-in and body double, Laura Butler, bears such a striking resemblance to the actress that some people on the set of Game of Thrones mistook her for Turner’s twin.
In an interview, Butler revealed that on one occasion, Turner’s boyfriend, Joe Jonas, even tried to kiss her, thinking she was Turner.
A Tribute to Sansa Stark: Sophie’s Tattoos
Turner got a tattoo of a direwolf, the sigil of House Stark, with the words “The Pack Survives” on her forearm.

“Yeah, actually while I was getting it done, people advised me not to because it looked like I was giving everything away, but I wasn’t,” she told James Corden in May 2019 when asked if the tattoo is a spoiler.
“It’s just quote from last season. But everyone figures the pack really does survive, but it’s just a moral that I like to live by.”
With her co-star Maisie Williams, who played Arya Stark, she also got a matching tattoo of the date “07.08.09,” which was the day they found out they were cast on the show.
Sophie Turner’s Fashion at the Game of Thrones Fan Event

For the Game of Thrones fan event in the Spanish capital, the then-20-year-old actress donned a white lace ruffle Louis Vuitton dress.
The ruffled dress featured sheer panels, long sleeves, and a high neckline.

She accessorized with earrings and kept her makeup simple with eyeliner and mascara. The tall actress wore her bright red hair down and curled.

An Unexpected Footwear Choice
While you would typically expect a delicate white lace dress to accompany a dainty pair of sandals, Sophie surprised everyone with her footwear choice.

The actress opted to pair her frilly Louis Vuitton dress with black lace-up combat-style boots from the same French fashion house.

How do you like Sophie’s highly idiosyncratic ensemble? Would you dare to pair chunky black boots with a dainty, ruffled white outfit?
