In May 2015, Hailee Steinfeld hit the red carpet for the premiere of her new movie, Barely Lethal, held at the ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood.
Portraying an orphan named Megan Walsh (Agent 83) in the government-run Prescott Academy, she was joined by her co-star Sophie Turner. Becoming good friends on the set, Hailee would later introduce Sophie to her now-husband, Joe Jonas.

“I definitely got the, like, ‘Tell me about Joe Jonas’ call,” Hailee told Jimmy Fallon in October 2019.
“Sophie and I have been friends for years. She’s one of my favorite humans. And Joe, same. Joe and I worked together a couple of years ago, and he is also a wonderful person, and it worked! So, I’ll take credit for that, sure.”
At the premiere of Barely Lethal, it looked like Kanye West had styled the then-18-year-old actress, model, and singer.

Barely Lethal began filming in Atlanta, Georgia, in November 2013, and the final scenes were completed in December of the same year. Hailee Steinfeld, born on December 11, 1996, in Tarzana, Los Angeles, was 17 during the production of the action-comedy and celebrated her 18th birthday on December 11, 2014.
