She definitely knows how to make an entrance. Arriving at The Castro Theatre for the San Francisco premiere of The Matrix Resurrections, Jada Pinkett Smith commanded attention in a stunning red ensemble from Italian fashion designer Giambattista Valli.
Jada is back as Niobe in the sci-fi action film. She first appeared in The Matrix Reloaded and reprised her role for the sequel, The Matrix Revolutions, later that year.

The 50-year-old actress’ bold red strapless gown hails from the Italian fashion designer’s Fall 2021 Haute Couture collection. It features an all-over ruching effect and a thigh-skimming hem, complete with a dramatic flowing double train.
Making the red-carpet outfit feel more winter-appropriate, the On A Different World actress layered a pair of red tights underneath her red mini dress.

She then created a streamlined look by pairing her monochromatic outfit with red PVC pumps from Latina-owned shoe brand, Flor de Maria.
Called the “Barby Red,” these handmade pumps embody elegance and sexiness with Lucite pointy closed toes and leather wraparound straps that go up the ankles.

The Gotham star kept her accessories minimal, allowing her dress to take center stage. She styled with just a dainty diamond bracelet and added an edge to the look with a sparkling Swarovski ear cuff.
Wearing her buzz-cut hair, Jada completed her look with neutral makeup. She sported subtle smokey eyeshadow with mascara and a hint of nude lip gloss.

Joining her on the red carpet was her 23-year-old son Jaden, who layered a black trench coat over a matching shirt and pants. He rocked shorter dreads and added a casual element to the look with a pair of chunky white sneakers.
Missing from the occasion was Jada’s 21-year-old daughter Willow and Grammy-winning polygamous husband Will Smith, who recently portrayed Serena and Venus Williams’ father, Richard Williams, in the biopic King Richard.
