Dua Lipa turned heads at the 2024 Brit Awards in a custom black leather gown that highlighted her signature blend of sleek edge and high-glamour sophistication.

The 28-year-old pop star not only opened the show with a high-energy performance but also walked away with the coveted Best Pop Act award, cementing her status as both a fashion risk-taker and a music industry powerhouse.

Other stars also delivered major fashion moments at the 2024 BRIT Awards. Kylie Minogue closed the night with a Global Icon medley in a bespoke Alexandre Vauthier gown paired with black Jimmy Choo “Saeda” heels, later switching into dramatic Dolce & Gabbana performance looks.

Meanwhile, Ellie Goulding turned heads in a custom Alberta Ferretti cut-out gown, styled with towering Jimmy Choo Max Bing platforms before slipping into thigh-high boots for her “Miracle” performance.

Dua Lipa Dominates the Red Carpet in Versace Leather Gown

Her appearance at this year’s Brit Awards was no different as she showed up in a sleek black leather Versace dress that accentuated every inch of her curves.

Dua Lipa’s red Valentino BAFTA gown is the best outfit she’s worn so far this awards season. However, I don’t mind if she continues to wear more form-fitting dresses, as I find the cut attractive on her toned frame.

The Argylle star flaunted her hourglass figure in the custom Versace black leather gown with a plunging double V-neck, which added to the sultry allure of the form-fitting outfit. The exquisite gown had thick straps that held the garment in place and was wrapped snugly around the waist before fanning out into a softly pleated mermaid skirt with a short train.

She completed the look with a timeless pair of black pointed-toe heels that were hardly seen beneath her dress. Her skintight gown accentuated her tall physique, but I can’t help but imagine how difficult it must have been for her to walk, let alone sit.

Tiffany & Co. Jewelry Brings Edge to the Look

Stylist Lorenzo Posocco finished the look with bold Tiffany & Co. sterling silver pieces, including the Forge Large Link Necklace, Elsa Peretti Bone Cuff, and stacked Link Rings.

The tough-chic jewelry amplified Lipa’s fierce stage presence and added edge to her sleek Versace gown.

Bold Makeup and Red Hair Complete the Statement

Lisa Eldridge gave Lipa plenty of mascara and eyeliner for a Cleopatra-inspired glam look. She also applied a dab of nude lipstick and a flush to her cheeks.

I love how the dominatrix aura of Dua Lipa’s attire was perfectly complemented by her Cherry-Colored hair, styled by Peter Lux and dyed by Matt Rez.

Dua Lipa Electrifies the BRITs with “Training Season” Performance

After strutting her stuff on the red carpet, Dua Lipa hurriedly changed into another black leather ensemble for her opening act.

She electrified the crowd with her performance of “Training Season,” the second single from her third studio album, Radical Optimism (2024).

Wearing black leather hot pants with lace-up sides, a black bra, and a daring open leather jacket, the Barbie actress hit the stage with her band and backup dancers and delivered an impeccably choreographed performance.

Dancers were floating around The O2 Arena, and at one point, two of them carried Lipa off the ground and into the air.

I applaud her for pulling off all that while wearing black leather knee-high boots with lace-up shafts and high-block heels.

“I love to add a little bit of danger to my performances,” Lipa told the press of her risky performance. “It’s all just about having fun and creating a spectacle, and I mean, what better place to do that than at home in London, at the Brits?”

Collecting Best Pop Act in Chrome Hearts Leather

After her riveting performance, Dua Lipa returned to the stage to collect her Best Pop Act trophy, beating out Calvin Harris, Charli XCX, Olivia Dean, and Raye.

She looked incredible as she slipped her toned figure into another black leather ensemble, this time by Chrome Hearts, consisting of a strapless leather corset top and belted black leather pants.

She kept her edgy theme consistent, elevating the look with layered Tiffany & Co. silver pieces, including the Large Link Necklace, HardWear Graduated Link Necklace, and an Elsa Peretti Split Cuff.

Rectangular sunglasses and Forge Single-Link Earrings added a final modern touch, while her burgundy hair was pulled into a sleek side-parted bun.

“Amazing, thank you so much!” she began her speech. “I guess more reasons than one, my fans are the reason why I’m standing here today. So I wanna say a massive thank you to each and every single one of you who voted for me. This means so much, I’m so, so happy to be here. You guys give me this radical sense of confidence that I can do anything and that I can try and I can experiment. You guys are there for me, and you guys have supported me. And all the love and the support and the optimism is what inspires me, so thank you so much.”

She went on to thank her dad, Dukagjin Lipa, who also serves as her manager. “But beyond that, it takes a village. So I wanna thank my dadager. I love you. I’m so grateful we get to do this together,” she said while pointing at her father.

She concluded her speech by thanking her team, including her dancers, band, and everyone at Warner Records, because “they’ve looked after me since the beginning.”

From commanding the red carpet to electrifying the Brit Awards stage, Dua Lipa proved once again why she’s one of fashion’s most exciting risk-takers. Her mix of leather, luxe jewelry, and bold footwear choices shows a star who knows how to own every moment.
