Jodie Turner-Smith is an undeniable fashion force to be reckoned with! As one of the new stars to join the Star Wars universe—portraying the leader of a coven of Force witches in The Acolyte—the 37-year-old actress is making her mark with her fashion choices.

Embarking on a whirlwind press tour, hopping from one interview to another, Turner-Smith has me captivated by her personal fashion display. On Monday, she switched up her outfits five times in one day to support her new Disney+ project.

Coquette Meets No-Pants Trend in Shushu/Tong Pink Feathers and Black Roger Vivier Heels

While Jodie is known for wearing bold and sophisticated ensembles, her youthful and carefree appearances constantly surprise me. She instantly captivated me when I spotted her outside the Good Morning America studios ahead of her appearance on the show.

Kicking off the press-tour run for Star Wars: The Acolyte, Jodie wowed in a two-piece pink ostrich feather ensemble from Shushu/Tong’s Fall/Winter 2024 Ready-to-Wear collection. The Shanghai-based fashion brand specializes in ultra-feminine designs for women who don’t mind standing out and expressing themselves with feminine details like bows and ruffles.

The Murder Mystery 2 actress‘s whimsical attire perfectly embodies the brand’s ethos.

Wearing a knitted cropped vest and matching high-cut briefs, Jodie embraced the pantless trend that has been sweeping the red carpet and runway in recent months.

Not only that but the front part of the ensemble is adorned with pink ostrich feathers, which appear to be gaining popularity these days. Just recently, actress Sofia Carson donned a white ostrich feather gown.

I particularly love how the black bow at the neck completes the coquette vibe of the look. Despite all the trends in one outfit, I still think it’s fantastic, as it seems cohesive.

I commend Wayman and Micah for doing an excellent job with the styling. Jodie’s pink ensemble, styled with black accessories to match her bow, gave her an edgy, contemporary look.

After encasing her legs in sheer black tights, she slipped her feet into the Roger Vivier Viv’ Choc pumps.

These Italian-made pumps are defined by the rounded lacquered buckle, which complements the shiny patent leather uppers. They have tapered toes and elegant ankle straps perched atop a 1-inch platform and a 5-inch curved heel.

These $569 (was $1,175.56) Roger Vivier shoes, available at Cettire, are a great option if you want to add some feminine flair to your ensemble.

Her Eera Punk Leather Moon Bag, made in Italy from calf leather with silver-tone grommet studs and a functional snap-hook hinge on the top handle, added a stylish touch to the outfit, as did her cat-eye sunglasses.

It seemed Ursula Stephen had a fun time styling Jodie’s short hair. She cut her blunt bangs and flipped the ends of her short bob, giving her a retro look.

Karina Milan gave Jodie a luminous glow with a peachy blush and accentuated her eyes with winged eyeliner and fluttery fake eyelashes. A thick application of nude lip gloss completed her glamorous appearance.

Part Coquette, Part Rustic, Part Victorian in Wiederhoeft Outfit and Black Suede Studio Mules

Sporting the same hair and makeup, Joshua Jackson’s ex-wife later appeared on the GMA set in a three-piece green crocheted ensemble by Wiederhoeft, a brand well-known for its corsets, bridalwear, and demi-couture designs.

Turner-Smith’s attire perfectly encapsulates the brand’s aesthetic and her affinity for whimsical designs. I honestly think it’s overkill, but I like how the color brings out her lovely, radiant complexion.

Her Fall/Winter 2024 look featured a $12,000 cardigan bolero crafted from fully hand-crocheted mint green silk ribbon with gold tinsel and embroidered with gold beads. Though stunning on its own, Jodie tucked it back and partially undid the gold buttons along the front to create a cropped effect and show the $3,990 Celadon Wasp Silk Corset.

The fitted bustier beautifully accentuated her slim figure, but I think the ensemble would still look stunning without it. The bottom part featured the coordinating mint green silk midi skirt, with a pencil silhouette crocheted to accentuate her body and give the outfit a modest appearance.

Even though I’m not the biggest fan of the outfit, I liked how the dramatic black bow at the center of the neckline punctuated the all-green look. The long ribbon cascaded to her shoes, creating a touch of contemporary drama that complemented the rest of her accessories. I’m just so annoyed by how wrinkly it appeared—I wish they had at least ironed it.

Wayman and Micah decided to copy the runway look and some of its original accessories, including the glittering black gloves and the tiny mint green crocheted bag.

Embracing maximalism, Jodie added black tortoiseshell Bottega Veneta cat-eye sunglasses, enhancing the look’s vintage tone. These brown acetate-framed sunnies sell for $290 (from $440) at Ssense.

A pair of gold peep-toe mules, matching her outfit’s gold accents, rounded out her ensemble. She wore the $298 “Brea” mules by Black Suede Studio, handmade in Brazil from mirror metallic gold leather.

Their minimalist silhouette, with peep toes and an open back, balances their striking metallic tone. They’re then finished with a roughly 4-inch stiletto heel, boosting Jodie’s already impressive 5’9” height.

Groovy in ‘70s Psychedelic Balmain Mini Dress and Green Louboutin Boots

Jodie Turner-Smith went all out for a stylish retro look when she appeared on The View that same day. She wore a 1970s-inspired psychedelic minidress and the same flared bob hairstyle.

She put on another leggy display in an electric pleated mini dress with splashes of rainbow hues, creating a psychedelic print that was all the rage in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Perfectly capturing her playful sense of style, the Balmain Pre-Fall 2024 dress has a modest high neck, flowing bell sleeves, and a hem that skims her toned thighs.

Although I’m not sure I like this look, I adore how Jodie pulls it off beautifully and effortlessly.

Ever the maximalist dresser, Jodie didn’t skimp on accessories and complemented her already vibrant ensemble with even more sparkles and colors. The overly excessive look doesn’t suit my taste, but I have to say, Jodie’s crushing this style.

She accessorized the kaleidoscope mini dress with a Brandon Blackwood “Kendrick” Trunk Bag made from metallic blue snake-embossed leather. It featured a flat top handle, a structured B lift-clasp closure, and a crossbody strap, which Jodie removed. It’s available for $550 at Neiman Marcus.

Adding extra glitz, she decked her hands with several statement gold and silver rings. She enhanced the retro style by covering her eyes with an enormous pair of square-shaped Linda Farrow “Carina” sunglasses, priced at $1,075. A version with green lenses is discounted to $980 (from $1,089) at Farfetch.

Rounding out the ensemble was a pair of Christian Louboutin “Astrilarge” ankle boots in Vosges Green suede. These boots are defined by the architectural vertiginous stiletto heels integrated into the sole to create a streamlined look. This, in my opinion, perfected the ensemble’s jazzy retro feel.

Whimsical in Balmain Harlequin Flamingo Mini Dress and Metallic Mules

Jodie Turner-Smith saved the best for last, dressing in a sculptural minidress from Balmain for the Cinema Society screening of The Acolyte to round off her hectic day.

I couldn’t help but admire her as she showed off her immaculate pins once more, looking confident as she strutted her stuff in the tiny, whimsical creation. It hails from the French luxury fashion house’s Pre-Fall 2024 collection, inspired by the tropical mood of Miami.

From the color to the shape and design, every element of the mini dress embodies the concept behind the collection, and I’m here for it.

The beautiful pattern of baby blue-and-white diamonds and the daring plunging sweetheart neckline, flanked by two mirrored pink flamingos made of crystal ornaments, add to the whimsical tone of the dress.

The structured peplum around the waist creates a futuristic element, wonderfully capturing Jodie’s flair for fashion.

Jodie coordinated her outfit flawlessly with her shining pink heels. She wore Black Suede Studio’s dusty mauve mirror metallic “Brea” mules, retailing for $298.

The styling was perfect, just as I had anticipated. Despite the sparkle added to the design, it didn’t feel excessive.

I can’t get enough of her Bucherer jewelry, which consists of the Ear Clips Classics in 18k white gold, set with 32 brilliant-cut and pear-cut diamonds totaling 2.8 and 9.58 carats, respectively.

She also wore the “Baguette Love” ear pins, crafted from 18k white gold and adorned with 20 baguette-cut diamonds totaling 0.84ct and 1.9ct brilliant-cut diamonds.

To further complement her look, she added pink and white diamond tennis bracelets and several gemstone and diamond rings. Among these was the Bucherer Classics ring in 18k white gold, featuring 24 pear-cut diamonds totaling 6.72ct and 1.22ct of brilliant-cut diamonds.

With all that glittering jewelry, Jodie could have left her neck bare, but instead, she chose to add even more glitz by wearing a tennis necklace with a diamond pendant.

I don’t know about you, but with her Barbie-esque beauty, Jodie is giving Margot Robbie a run for her money! Her makeup and hair did not pull the focus away from her ensemble; instead, they heightened the drama and added a nostalgic touch to the whole look.

She wore a curly pixie with bangs, created by Ursula Stephen, while Karina Milan gave her dramatic eye makeup. She covered her lids with smokey black-and-pink eyeshadow and glitter dust, making her eyes pop even more with fluttery eyelashes.

Her soft blush and metallic nude lipstick rounded out her glam.

The Acolyte: A Star Wars Prequel Series

“The Acolyte” is set at the end of the Star Wars High Republic era, approximately 100 years before “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.” The story follows twins Osha and Mae (portrayed by Amandla Stenberg), who were tragically separated during childhood. As they grow, they find themselves on opposite sides of the Force: Osha is drawn to the light side, while Mae is lured by the dark side.

Osha, once the brightest Padawan of respected master Jedi Sol (Lee Jung-jae), leaves the Jedi Order due to internal conflict about her connection to the force. Meanwhile, Mae, previously thought to be dead, reappears as a dangerous warrior sent by a mysterious master on a mission to kill Jedi masters.

As Jedi Sol investigates a string of Jedi deaths, he reunites with Osha and finds themselves up against forces that are darker than they could have ever imagined.

Leslye Headland created The Acolyte for Disney+. Other cast members include Charlie Barnett as Yord Fandar, Dafne Keen as Jecki Lon, Rebecca Henderson as Vernestra Rwoh, Carrie-Anne Moss as Indara, Manny Jacinto as Qimir, and Jodie Turner-Smith as Mother Aniseya, leader of a coven of Force witches.

The first two episodes of the eight-episode sci-fi series debuted on Disney+ on June 4. The following six episodes will air once a week.
