Reese Witherspoon Gives Off Major Elle Woods Vibes in Barbiecore Dress

Barbiecore is taking Hollywood by storm and quickly becoming the hottest trend of the summer.

But way before the hype, Reese Witherspoon’s Legally Blonde character Elle Woods already made the monochromatic pink look a thing back in the early 2000s.

Twenty-one years later, the 46-year-old actress still turns to her on-screen alter ego when it comes to fashion.

At the premiere of Where the Crawdads Sing held at the Museum of Modern Art, the Gone Girl star showed up in a Barbiecore pink dress from New Zealand-born fashion designer Emilia Wickstead.

Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine media company co-produced the mystery drama film based on the novel of the same name by Delia Owens.

Set in North Carolina in the 1950s and 1960s, the movie centers on a young girl named Kya (played by Daisy Edgar-Jones), who becomes the prime suspect in the murder of her ex-boyfriend Chase Andrews (played by Harris Dickinson).

Ava Phillippe’s mom looked half her age in the “Angela” hot pink frock that’s currently on sale for $1,346 (from $1,795) at Matches Fashion.

Crafted from lightweight wool crepe, the girly number features a structured, pin-tucked bodice that creates a flattering silhouette.

It also has a ruched scoop neck, a zip down the back, thick shoulder straps, and a below-the-knee hem.

The Fear actress contrasted the look with barely-there Aquazzura “Nude” sandals, which feature transparent PVC panels, gold asymmetrical side straps, slingback straps, and 4-inch stiletto heels.

She teamed the look with pink tourmaline and rose gold jewelry from Irene Neuwirth, which included a $10,020 One of Kind Gemmy gem double stone ring, an $8,250 oval ring in 18k rose gold, and a $32,480 One of a Kind Gemmy gem bezel cuff.

Keeping the look Barbie-themed, Reese wore pink Chanel makeup, care of makeup artist Romy Soleimani.

He applied glittery eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner, light pink blush, and matching poppy pink lip color to the actress’ gorgeous features.

As for her golden tresses, hairstylist Kylee Heath styled her blonde locks in free-flowing waves.
