A day after performing in front of a sold-out crowd at Madison Square Garden as part of her Pink Friday 2 world tour, Nicki Minaj returned to the indoor arena on Sunday to witness the New York Knicks take on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Just in time for Easter, the Starships hitmaker turned the basketball game into a family affair by sitting courtside with her husband, Kenneth Petty, and their son, nicknamed Papa Bear.
Though other celebrities were also watching the game, like Julia Fox, Fat Joe, Bad Bunny, and Ben Stiller, with whom Minaj snapped a photo, Nicki Minaj’s Barbie pink outfit instantly captured my attention.

The 41-year-old rapper made a statement in a black-and-pink ensemble, proving she will always be the original Barbie—yes, ICYDK, Minaj was the OG Barbie long before Margot Robbie became known as the Stereotypical Barbie.
I’ve always thought that the black and pink combination goes well together. Though they differ significantly, they create a striking and dramatic effect that’s likely to draw attention.
Minaj’s drip often features this combination, and things were no different at the New York Knicks game, where she wore black leggings with a pink coat and tee.

I could easily spot Minaj from the crowd in her fitted pale pink Chanel ribbed tee, which featured a tonal diamond pattern and white logo trims around the neck, sleeves, and hem.
It was an appropriate choice to dress comfortably for the sporting event, and I love that she teamed her casual yet chic tee with cozy leggings by Alaia. She opted for the sheer stripes leggings made in Italy from Japanese nylon yarn for a daring touch.

Nicki’s pink and white sneakers hail from her recent partnership with British vegan sneaker and apparel label Loci.
She wore the “Atom” skater shoes handmade from premium bio-vegan leather with a recycled foam midsole, bamboo, recycled nylon lining, natural cork, and recycled foam insole. I love that this pair provided her casual ensemble’s perfect finishing touch.
Loci’s “Atom” shoes are available in multiple colorways and retail for $190.

Minaj’s shoe collection for Loci will consist of 11 pairs, which, according to her, are “11 completely different designs.”
Per the brand’s website, “Nicki’s bold and vibrant style” is embodied in her carefully chosen collection, which “blends street-cool aesthetics with high-fashion chic.”
The sneaker collection will drop on April 12, Friday, with prices ranging from $185 to $200.

Mixing high and low fashion, Minaj layered her relaxed ensemble underneath an oversized pink cotton tweed coat from Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2024 Pre-collection.
The double-breasted pink coat, priced at $11,950, has a checkered pattern in pink and dark pink hues.
While I love Nicki’s entire look, her $5,950 Chanel mini phone holder backpack, carried by her husband, Kenneth Petty, caught my attention the most. I was drawn to the pink tweed, the front snap pocket with the gold-tone CC logo, the long interwoven strap, and the leather top handle.
Not to mention, I particularly like its size—compact yet spacious enough to hold more than just my phone.

The maximalist dresser added gold and diamond bling to the look. Given the pearl embellishments on her diamond-encrusted chain choker necklace, I think she’s wearing Chanel. Her bracelets also have the same design, featuring diamond-embellished chains.
Enhancing the look’s pink theme, the richest female rapper decorated her pink-manicured hands with a pink ring and wore the Richard Mille RM 07-02 Pink Lady Sapphire watch, which is sold for over $1,000,000.
The luxurious, feminine automatic watch features an exquisite tonneau shape, sculpted from a single block of colored sapphire and sublimated by a movement in 18k 5N red gold with hundreds of diamonds. It has a smokey mother-of-pearl dial adorned with crystals and finished with a pale pink rubber strap.
As if the sparkles were not enough, Nicki even wore chain anklets. This bothered me most about her appearance; the excessive amount of jewelry was just too much for me.

Glam-wise, Nicki Minaj didn’t disappoint. She wore her dark tresses in voluminous tight curls flowing around her shoulders.
Her radiant makeup featured pink blush and matte pink lipstick. She highlighted her eyes with heavy-winged eyeliner and applied rhinestone crystals across her lids for a dramatic finish.
Minaj’s husband, Kenneth, opted for a classic hip-hop look, pairing a black varsity jacket with a black tee, jeans, and a baseball cap.
He styled the look with a chunky, glistening necklace that read “Big Sleeze” and was encrusted with crystals. He finished the cool ensemble with Balenciaga sneakers.
Their son, born September 30, 2020, was decked out in a black Gucci sweatshirt, black jeans, and Gucci sneakers.
