Some may call them Frankenstein shoes. Some may call them amazing. However you feel about the extreme platform bootie trend, one thing is for certain – it’s here and doesn’t appear to be leaving any time soon.

While browsing some platform styles at Heels today I came across the ‘Carolyn’ from Shoe Republic LA. Not only is the ‘Carolyn’ a sky high lace up staple, it features a cutout heel exposing back for added fun and interest. The ‘Carolyn’ comes in four great colors, but I’d have to go for the fuchsia option.
