This year’s Tribeca Festival kicked off with Jennifer Lopez’s Netflix documentary Halftime, which offers an intimate look at the multi-hyphenate’s life as she navigates the second phase of her multifaceted career.
J.Lo reflects on her milestone and evolution as a singer, actress, and business mogul in the documentary, directed by Amanda Micheli. It is set to drop on Netflix on Tuesday, June 14.
The docu also includes some behind-the-scenes look at J.Lo’s 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show with Shakira, which she said was the “worst idea in the world.”

While their joint performance received praises from both fans and celebrities across the globe, the MTV Movie & TV Awards Generation Award winner revealed she was unhappy over NFL’s decision to put two Latina A-list performers on the same stage.
“We have six f***ing minutes. We have 30 seconds of a song, and if we take a minute, that’s it, we’ve got five left. But, there’s got to be certain songs that we sing, though. We have to have our singing moments. It’s not going to be a dance f***ing revue. We have to sing our message,” Lopez told her music director Kim Burse in the docu.
“This is the worst idea in the world to have two people do the Super Bowl… worst idea in the world,” she added.

Speaking to Shakira over the phone about their shared stage, Lopez said, “If it was going to be a double-headliner, they should have given us 20 minutes. That’s what they should’ve done.”
“Typically, you have one headliner at a Super Bowl. That headliner constructs a show, and, should they choose to have other guests, that’s their choice. It was an insult to say you needed two Latinas to do the job that one artist historically has done,” J.Lo’s longtime manager Benny Medina said in a separate interview.

Ensuring all eyes were on her, the Marry Me actress made a bold arrival at the Tribeca premiere of the docu in a daring naked dress from Tom Ford’s Fall 2022 collection.
While the strategically placed black velvet panels provided much-needed coverage, the sheer mesh panels on the torso and down the sides gave onlookers a clear view of her boobs, toned midriff, and legs.
The racy see-through number, which clung perfectly to her figure, also features a sheer high neck, long sleeves, and a floor-sweeping hem.

Allowing her famous curves and assets to take center stage, Ben Affleck’s fiancée simply accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz diamond teardrop earrings and a 15ct. diamond triangle ring, selected by world-renowned styling duo Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn.
She also wore her Rahaminov Diamonds engagement ring with 8.5ct. natural green diamond center stone and carried a black velvet clutch.
Her hairstylist Chris Appleton pulled her long brown tresses in a sleek high ponytail with her baby hairs styled in finger waves while her makeup artist Mary Phillips amped up the glamour with smokey eyeshadow, pink blush, and glossy nude pink lipstick.

Completing her stunning head-to-toe Tom Ford outfit was a pair of towering heels from the American luxury designer.
The now sold-out $3,290 sandals feature black velvet uppers with peep toes, back zips, and ankle straps. They also have thick platforms and high block heels that are both embellished with sparkling crystals.
