Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, who co-starred as sisters on the popular ‘90s TV sitcom Friends, will be reunited for a new series, called The Morning Show.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Aniston and Witherspoon, who are both also serving as executive producers, are earning $1.25 million per episode of The Morning Show. Apple has committed to a full two-season order of 20 total episodes, which reportedly cost $300 million to produce!
On Monday, the A-list duo, together with Apple Inc., celebrated the premiere of their Apple TV+ drama web series held at the Lincoln Center in New York City.

Inspired by Brian Stelter’s book, Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV (available at Amazon), the upcoming original series will give us a glimpse into the personal and professional lives of morning news anchors.
The first three episodes of the series will be available to stream on Apple TV+ on November 1. Be warned, however, according to the early reviews listed by USA Today, the newsroom drama is ‘brutally dull’ and a ‘snore.’
Aside from the lead stars, plenty of other noteworthy celebrities, as well as some rising talents, were also in attendance, and they filled the black carpet with gorgeous looks.

2. Reese Witherspoon Shines in Christian Louboutin Pumps
Reese Witherspoon also opted for a black dress, but hers was sparkling with sequin embellishments and was cut just right below the knee.
The mid-length strapless number by Hedi Slimane for Celine features a glittery gold band along the top and a flattering bodycon silhouette that accentuated her curves.

“The world didn’t tell us that we were supposed to be leaders, we never thought those opportunities would come and now here we are,” Witherspoon explained of the show’s central theme in an interview with Good Morning America.
“I think a lot of women are stepping up or being asked to step up and I think it’s fantastic.”
“Jen and I talk about it, even seven years ago the idea of us being producers was thought of as cute — but this has been an amazing experience because we go into big rooms of lots of creative executives and they actually listen to what we have to say,” she added.
The 43-year-old actress looked gorgeous with a slicked blunt bob, dark smoky eye-makeup, nude blush, and pink lip shade, thanks to her hairstylist Lona Vigi and makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan.

3. Naomi Watts Is Ladylike in Miu Miu Pumps
Unlike Jennifer and Reese, Naomi Watts decided to go for a brighter black carpet look, slipping into an ivory white midi dress from Miu Miu’s Resort 2020 collection.
The floral-themed outfit features pink and green floral embellishments, a feminine pilgrim-style lace collar, and blouson long sleeves with buttoned cuffs.

4. Mindy Kaling Goes for Elegance in Jimmy Choo Sandals
Actress/writer/producer Mindy Kaling, who will star as a guest in the Apple flagship drama, also showed up at the event. She looked lovely in a black slashed one-shoulder dress, which features a flattering cinched waist that flares out at the skirt.
The ‘Meteor’ dress ($2,000 at Moda Operandi) is from the Melbourne-based Australian designer Maticevski, who is known for his elaborate sculptural feminine couture.

Also opting for a black number was the very pregnant TV presenter Ashley Graham, who was seen holding onto her baby bump while posing on the black carpet.

English actress Bel Powley will be playing production assistant Claire Conway in the upcoming web series. And at the screening event, she made sure to capture attention as she arrived in a frilly tulle gown from Simone Rocha’s Spring 2020 collection.
