Raffia is one of those things that always come back for spring. The usual raffia sandals, wedges and platforms have already started appearing but some designer labels have come up with some unexpected but nice twists to this seasonal shoe trend.
Who did you think among these designers did raffia best? Check out their raffia offerings, all newly arrived styles for spring 2012, below:
First up is this sexy ankle strap sandal style from Ralph Lauren. The bamboo-like heel is a nice touch.

Brian Atwood has been giving us a lot of color lately. Check out this festive ‘Mojito’ sandal that uses woven raffia in the simplest yet most unconventional way.

Blake Lively has already shown us what Burberry has to offer in terms of woven raffia shoes but the British label lightens things up with this interestingly printed wedge loafer.

Charlotte Olympia is another label that’s used raffia for many of its spring 2012 styles. Here’s a Charlotte Olympia wedge that shows off an intricate woven raffia pattern.

Possibly the simplest out of all the shoes featured in this post, this Reed Krakoff raffia loafer is probably the one that would get the most wear. Pair it with straight cut jeans, a loosely fitted t-shirt and a fedora — just a few warm-weather pieces that are essential spring/summer staples.
