Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have finally and officially tied the knot! It’s a love story that took decades to fully blossom with postponed engagements, divorces, and kids in between.
Over the weekend, Hollywood’s power couple flew to Las Vegas for a low-key midnight wedding that marked the beginning of the rest of their lives together.
On her Instagram, Jennifer shared an intimate shot of herself in bed while proudly showing off her wedding ring. She invited her fans to read the latest entry on her “On The JLo” newsletter to uncover the details of her surprise wedding to Ben.

The newsletter opened with a proud declaration of “WE DID IT!” and a black-and-white photo of the newlyweds underneath.
“We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient.”

The 52-year-old superstar shared that they joined four other couples as they waited in line to get their license.
She wrote that they all wanted “the same thing – for the world to recognize us as partners and to declare our love to the world through the ancient and nearly universal symbol of marriage.”
“We barely made it to the little white wedding chapel by midnight,” Jennifer recounted. But the staff “graciously stayed open late,” allowing them some time to pose for photos “in a pink Cadillac convertible, evidently once used by the king himself.”
Little white wedding
The photos showed Ben wearing a white tuxedo with a black bowtie. Meanwhile, Jennifer glowed in her Zuhair Murad off-the-shoulder dress from the brand’s Spring 2023 collection.
It features a structured corset bodice with a sweetheart neckline, sheer long sleeves, and a lace veil.

Jennifer added a few more details about their wedding in her newsletter, mentioning “the best witnesses you could ever imagine, a dress from an old movie and a jacket from Ben’s closet.”
She said that they “read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives.”

Short but sweet and intimate, it’s not usually the kind of ceremony that people expect from a glamorous Hollywood couple. But according to Jennifer, “it was the best possible wedding we could have imagined. One we dreamed of long ago and one made real at very, very long last.”
Jennifer also expressed her gratitude to A Little White Wedding Chapel for giving them changing rooms to change into their outfits.
Stylist Chris Appleton shared a video on his Instagram of the bride in a sleeveless white dress a few moments before the ceremony.

A new dawn and a new name
In the newsletter, Jennifer also mentioned their growing “family of five amazing children and a life that we have never had more reason to look forward to.”
She ended her entry on a positive note, saying that “maybe you’ll find the best moment of your life in a drive through in Las Vegas at twelve thirty in the morning.”
Ever the hopeless romantic, her parting words were: “Love is a great thing, maybe the best of things – and worth waiting for.”

As if the wedding wasn’t enough, Jennifer also pulled another surprise up her sleeve. She signed off her newsletter with a new name to commemorate her union with her husband, Ben.
From now on, she wants to be called “Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck.” And she has the official papers to prove it.
The second time’s the charm
After a whirlwind romance in 2002 and two poorly received movies that starred both of them together, the couple ended their engagement and parted ways due to excessive media attention.

Coincidentally, it’s the same reason that made Ben’s ex-girlfriend Ana de Armas want to escape from LA after their highly publicized romance ended.
Everyone had high hopes for Jennifer’s relationship with former baseball player Alex Rodriguez, but that also ended after four years together.
Somehow, Jennifer and Ben managed to find each other again and rekindled their romance after decades of being apart.

Since getting back together last year, the two have been inseparable.
They caused quite a frenzy when they made their red-carpet debut at the Venice Film Festival. Jennifer also showed her support for Ben, attending the New York premiere of his film The Last Duel. They also spent a PDA-filled vacation together and enjoyed quality time with their children.
News of their second engagement came via Jennifer’s “On The JLo” newsletter, with the Marry Me actress proudly showing off her stunning green 8.5-carat diamond ring.
Now that they’ve finally gotten married, their family has gotten bigger and better.
They’re now parents to five children – twins Max and Emme from Jennifer’s previous marriage to Grammy winner Marc Anthony, and Ben’s trio of children with ex-wife and Golden Globe winner Jennifer Garner: Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.
Back to work
A couple of days after the surprise wedding announcement, Jennifer was spotted outside a dance studio in Los Angeles.
The multi-hyphenate star always looks good no matter what she wears, adding her signature glam touch to even the most casual of outfits.
As she prepares for her upcoming projects, Jennifer is often seen clad in luxe sportswear while out and about in LA.
This time, she wore a form-fitting black crop top with Niyama Sol printed leggings and Nike Air Presto sneakers. These shoes have black mesh uppers, white midsoles, and a lace-up front.
Oversized sunglasses and a high ponytail rounded out her rehearsal look.

A few days earlier, Jennifer showed up at a dance studio in an oversized crop sweatshirt from Niyama Sol. She paired it with zigzag-print flared leggings from the same brand and her favorite Nike Air Presto sneakers that you can buy at Nordstrom.

A week ago, Jennifer stepped out in a Kith long-sleeved crop top with thumb holes and a high neck. She styled it with Niyama Sol crocodile-print leggings and her Nike Air Presto sneakers.
As expected, Jennifer glammed it up with Jennifer Fisher hoop earrings, Max Mara sunglasses, and her white Hermes Birkin handbag.

The Maid in Manhattan actress wore a starkly different outfit the day before, opting for loose-fitting clothes instead of the form-fitting ones she’s recently been spotted wearing.
This time, she wore a Coach plaid coat with a buttoned front and a contrasting sherpa collar. Jennifer wore it with baggy denim jeans and Timberland Premium boots.
