Need outfit and shoe ideas for an upcoming cocktail party or a red carpet event?
Here’s a 5 minute review of what the stars at the QVC Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party wore on Friday, February 28. This should give you some tips on the kind of frocks and heels to slip into for shindigs that require major dolling up.
The party was held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles. Many famous people actually turned up — Nicole Richie, Kate Mara, Krysten Ritter, Stacy Keibler, and former reality TV star Whitney Port, to name a few.

Of course, being the shoe fanatics that we are, the unforgettable ones were the ladies decked in standout heels. Check out the following 10 women who turned our heads with their fab shoes:
1. Gretchen Rossi in Christian Louboutin
Get Gretchen’s look with the Luxe by JustFab Turlington pumps. These shoes are wrapped in iridescent material and sprinkled with rhinestones all over. A plus is the price — just $100.
2. Holly Robinson-Peete in Two-Tone Pumps
Holly‘s sexy-back dress and two-tone peep-toe pumps were a good match. We’ve never seen these shoes before, though. Can you help us identify them?
You can channel Holly’s style by capping off your LBD with these d’Orsays from Ivanka Trump. The “Kyra” pumps feature 4.75-inch-tall heels, suede leather uppers, and metallic gold trimming:

3. Jaime King in Christian Dior (?)
Jaime King‘s Christian Dior outfit for the occasion looked a little odd. It actually took us a while to realize that she was wearing a skort (or culottes?). However, her beautiful sandals more than made up for all the weirdness. Could her shoes be from Dior as well?
Steal Jaime’s style by slipping into a combo dress and capping it off with these two-tone black-and-white sandals from Badgley Mischka:
4. Jamie Lynn Sigler in Studded Oxfords
Jamie Lynn Sigler went to the party in separates capped off with a pair of buckled and studded oxfords. The look was super chic and elegant and yet laid-back and completely copy-worthy. Will you steal Jamie’s style?
While not exactly studded, this iridescent pair from Steven is a great substitute if you are looking to copy Jamie’s look. The sheen makes these oxfords dressy enough to wear to cocktail events — provided you wear the right outfit, of course.
Steven “Daleaa” Oxfords in Nude, $76 (before: $109)
5. Jane Seymour in Jimmy Choo
Jane Seymour wore Jimmy Choo heels for the evening. Interestingly, she had her pair finished with rubber stoppers, er, grips at the heel tips. While the extra accessories were distracting, we understand why she had them installed.
6. Kat Dennings in Jimmy Choo
Two Broke Girls star Kat Dennings didn’t seem to be enjoying the night. Thankfully, she arrived at the event looking fabulous and completely coordinated. Her Jimmy Choo “Drift” cutout booties matched the red shade of her lips and of her dress. She capped off the outfit with a leather jacket to give it a tough-chick twist.
You can purchase Kat’s Drift booties online. But if you’re on a budget, the “Olivia 2” booties from Louise et Cie are definitely worth considering:
7. Kristin Chenoweth in Christian Louboutin
Kristin Chenoweth also wore leather at the event. But she took hers to a whole different level by topping it over a frou-frou rosette-detailed dress. Unexpectedly, she finished the frock with classic Christian Louboutin booties. Do you like the mix?
You don’t need to spend a thousand dollars on classic booties if you want Kristin’s outfit. Just wear the Vince Camuto “Elvin” booties below with a bubble-skirt dress and a faux-leather jacket, and then you’re all set!
8. Shanna Moakler in Christian Louboutin
The minute Shanna Moakler stepped in, we immediately recognized her Christian Louboutin “Highness” pumps. Who can miss shoes like that? She coordinated the heels with a black-and-white frock that was very Stella McCartney–inspired.
You can channel Shanna’s look either by overspending on those Louboutins (they retail at $1,075) or by grabbing classic platform pumps like these babies from David Tutera instead:
9. Whitney Port in Nine West
Former The City star Whitney Port slipped into a simple but sexy cutout dress for the night. She finished her look with can-afford Nine West ankle-strap pumps and a striped clutch that matched her fully coordinated attire.
To steal Whitney’s style, simply slip into a cutout dress like this piece from Nasty Gal and finish your look by grabbing the Nine West “Timeforsho” ankle-strap pumps. You can find the natural version at Zappos. The pair is on sale, too!
Nine West “Timeforsho” Pumps in Natural, $59 (before: $79)
10. Kat Graham in B Brian Atwood
Last on our list is Kat Graham of The Vampire Diaries. Ever the risk taker when it comes to red carpet garb, Kat arrived at the event in a flapper-inspired dress that was fully decorated with feathers. She capped off the outfit with sexy t-strap sandals from B Brian Atwood.
Here’s a look at Kat’s B Brian Atwood sandals. You can score a pair in your size via Shopbop. These “Lydia” heels also come in tan and retail at an accessible $350. Do you like them?
